Norman Taulbee
When the student is ready, the teacher will come. Yoga found Norman in college, stumbling into the wrong dance studio. Running late for rehearsal, he quietly pondered all the legs up the wall and sheepishly declined the gentle invitation, "Won't you join us?"

After receiving several scholarships and aggressively pursuing a professional dance career, Norman sustained injuries that ended a childhood dream and changed his path forever.

"It was completely devastating. And it would take a decade to face the pain and find another dream," says Norman, "but the Universe has amazing patience and precision. It just took a little while to clean off the rose colored glasses."

Vinyasa flow's gentle undertow pulled Norman into an amazing journey of self discovery and recovery, once again igniting a flame and passion for life - teaching yoga.

Norman explains, "It's not about physical perfection and ego this time around, but opening the heart, body and soul to something bigger than this human experience. I want to share the courage, strength and hope I've collected on this expedition."

Norman has a multi-disciplinary yoga background. He completed a 200 hour Iyengar-based training at the Yoga Room in Nashville, while continually practicing Vinyasa flow with Nashville area teachers and studios. Travelling nationally, he has completed immersions and attended workshops with Martin and Jordan Kirk (Anusara Yoga), Ana Forrest (Forrest Yoga) and Shiva Rea (Prana Vinyasa Flow). He is also working towards a 500 hour certification through the Asheville Yoga Center at Yoga Source.
