Saturday, June 28th, at 7:00pm Yoga Source in Cummins Station 209 10th Avenue South, Ste 126
Join local kirtan group, Samavayah, on Saturday, June 28th, for an evening of sacred music and chanting.
Kirtan (from the Sanskrit word "to sing") is an ancient practice of mantra chanting in a call and response format. The leader sings out a line, and the audience sings it back, building and blending until there is no longer any distinction between the chant and the chanter. Everyone is part of the celebration, and everyone makes the music.
Samavayah takes its name from the Sanskrit word meaning "union." The members for this kirtan will be: Amy Barnes, Kenneth Robinson, Mary Beth Cysewski, Michelle Hall, Joe Ridolfo, Gerry Snoddy, Ed Haggard of the Love Drums, and Thomas Anderson of RhythMystik.
A suggested minimum donation of $10.00 is asked at the door, although lesser or greater donations are deeply appreciated to help support the continuation of this offering.
