Vinyasa Flow Yoga Yoga Source Vinyasa classes provide each student with a personal, intimate yoga experience while in a group setting. With daily intentions set for the highest evolvement of every student, Yoga Source is a sacred environment for practitioners to explore and transform physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Each step in life is a preparation for the next, just as it is with the sequencing of postures in the Yoga Source Vinyasa yoga practices. The Yoga Source student is given the tools to move through life with an open, clear body and a calm, steady mind.
Vinyasa means sequence or progression. Each yoga session presents a flow of exercise with a beginning, a building toward a posture that is the height of the practice, progressing toward an ending. The classes begin with a guided meditation, transitioning into a sequence of standing and seated postures with synchronized breath, and concluding with a relaxation for integrating the yoga practice.
Level 1: Introduces the fundamentals of yoga with an emphasis on breath and alignment. Students will be gently guided through yoga postures, meditation, and relaxation. For new students or ones wanting to reconnect with the key elements of yoga practice.
Level 2: Includes full vinyasa and sun salutations with standing and sitting postures. The fundamentals of ujjayi breathing, backbends, and inversions are introduced. For students with some yoga experience.
Level 3: Includes jumping back to Chaturanga (plank position) and jumping through to sitting postures. Preparation for headstand and full backbends will be taught. Explores the dynamics of dristi (eye positions), bandhas (internal locks), and more advanced yoga postures, including headstand, arm balances, and half lotus positions. For experienced yoga students.
